how was it, packed? Did ya get your glow sticks out?? |
It was pretty damn packed alright. I hadn't heard a single track Digweed was spinning, mostly due to the fact that I haven't really been listening to any of live sets or Transitions lately. So all the material was new to me. I was pleasantly surprised to hear more 'melodic' tunes and tunes that seamed to incorperate some 'trancey' elements, yet at the same time incorperating many other elements that makes them sound pretty fresh and different. His mixing was slick. There were alot of transitions where I was just like "NICE !" And, surprisingly, the opening DJ was pretty good too. Apparently he's a local Austin DJ who's been mixing for quite a while and is fairly respected in the local scene. Although I did run into this girl I used to like and hang out with a bit. That kinda ruined my night for a bit, but I was there to see Digweed, not sulk. So I got it out of my system pretty fast and had a blast.
