"That's what they all say; they all say 'D'oh.'"
Japanese people in Japan are weird.
I couldnt work out the language at all, couldnt work out the customs and being the awful tourist probably went trampling over their society like an out of control herd of wildebeast. On the upside, they couldnt figure me out either and it was kind of fun messing with their heads. Wasnt tall enough to be european, not dark enough to be black, not white enough to be white and twice as obnoxious and unintelligable when drunk.
They do tend too be scrupulously polite though, which is enough reason to like them.

That's because they, along with several other eastern cultures, have a serious inferiority complex (I call it the "white complex"). Laz probably know what I'm talking about. Well, that's one of the reasons for their weirdness anyways. Ofcourse, their culture is quite different from Western culture too, so that factors in. I've never really considered them to be part of the West, and can't understand why people sometime do.

I thought you were Australian (from European descent)?

South African born, Mother half Dutch, half English, father (never met him) was apparently an Indian employee and fled the scene long before her indiscretions became apparent at my birth.
Needless to say, didnt go down all that well with my stepfather so I got borrowed out too relatives in England and Australia. That and being a bit 'off colour' meant there wasnt a 'good' school who would take me in South Africa at the time.
All those concerned are dead or not on 'talkies' basis and change has come along with the fact I dont care anymore.
It did make for a very emotionally difficult childhood I must admit.

Yeah well try having a 13 year old lil man!, OMG I have had more gray hair pop in me head these past couple years.... uggghh
Even though She lives with her Mom, dude it is very stressful,
for instance, when she came over to stay a few months during last summer, We went to the Mall to go buy her some clothes and stuff and my little girl was getting hit on by the EMO punk at HOT TOPIC!! I was almost floored to see her laughing and acting like most girls do when a cute guy talks to them, part me wanted to grab that focking punk and beat the hell out of him, but an other part was depressed cause daddy's little girl was not the same lil girl that I use to bounce on my knee and play peek a boo with
On top of that, she needed a training bra .... I mean it was all good, I am not an idiot when it comes to things, but you never think that the little apple of your eye will grow up.....
I need a tissue

i'm so glad i had a girl.
when she was a toddler i'd dress her up like a boy in jeans, a T-shirt and some teeny tiny Adidas Superstars just like her Dad's and walk around the mall.
we still go to the mall together but all she cares about is The Limited Too to look at all the dresses and Claire's to get her umpteenth set of hoop earings and now i'd rather stick a fork in a toaster than shop for shoes with her. she's so damn picky about shoes!
she likes Hot Topic only for the gothic fairy postcards. she hates the music. i like Hot Topic cause theres usually a really hot goth chic that works there.
