Ok, I just got back to my apartment to get some sleep, since I'm obviously loosing my mind right now and am not getting anything done. I almost got in a wreck on the way too .

It's fairly easy to know what he probably said, what most smart ass young men say when theyre out on the town and feel like speaking their small minds.
He got off lucky by not picking on a maori girl because they get 'huge' and we're not talking about fat either, theyre just big girls who take no crap and wreck you if you sass them about.

This is the first time I've seen a singnificant reference (Maori) to one of my favorite novels, (David Mitchell's "Cloud Atlas"). I'm rather excited.

I've not read it, checked the reviews on it and it sounds like a book with a really weird composition, problem not being able to read much lately with spare time the way it is.
Should go to NZ sometime though, its a fun place, great outdoors activities if thats your thing, if I get rich I might go skiing there again... well by skiing I mean getting a bootfull of scotch into me and falling down a mountain.

For all you car lovers without any taste (meaning those of you that like american cars) especially those of you who love the new mustang (cant see why it looks terrible), here are some pics of how italians (Giugiaro) would have done it. In the future please leave the car styling to them, in fact leave everything to do with cars to the italians.






The performance figures are also very unamerican. 4.5l supercharged V8 with over 500HP. Yanks would need at least an additional 2l to get that much horsepower.

You've never owned or had the (dis)pleasure of knowing someone with an Alfa or a Fiat have you?

Italians make cars like any other domestic market, they make cheap, bad cars that handle like a fat man on rollerskates, gutless engines, box-shaped styling, ill fitting plastic features and uncomfortable. Then, like everyone else they have their upper market cars which have nice shapes, perform well and cost a great deal more.
About the only people who seem to make 'cheap' cars with any real use are the japanese, because at least they dont seem to break down half as much as anything euro, american or korean and their parts are cheap in most cases.
Even the up-market US cars I've had anything to do with are just rotten.
Sorry if thats kind of harsh to US car fans, but theyre really just overpriced for what you get compared to anything from europe or japan.
