Well, you know, they did try to see on mythbusters on Discovery channel if plants grow larger if you sing to them. They also yelled at some, played Mozart to others, and played heavy metal to the last group. The end result was that all the plants that were exposed to sound actually did grow a bit larger than those in the silent chamber. But the choice of music/speech was absolutely irrelevant.
