Eh, we know each other really well. We're just both refusing to take it to that next level. Which sometimes I feel is a smart move, and other times I find it utterly stupid.
Yeah quite a tight rope. One side being too cold and distant not commiting when you should, the other commiting too much and getting hurt.
Totally depends on both your situations and the distance and so on. Depends on the future situations also. If it is possible that you would be living in the same place later (or one of you move to) it can make it possible.
Because as soon as it seems that you never will live in the same place it gets pretty tough (perhaps pointless). But if there is hope of being together distance relationship can work for awhile.
Difficult though.

If I happen to come across a worthwhile job, then I might stay located in this city (just perhaps in a different area). Right now my options are Boston and Santa Barbara. If I move to Boston the chance of him moving there is slim to none. If I move to Santa Barbara the chances are much higher. However, there is still the option that I might just stay. I'm not so sure that it's the moving thing or it's the fact that neither of us are really feeling being in another relationship right now. There's a lost more to it really. If we decided to give it a go, we'd both have to severely adjust to the situation. A lot would change, for both of us.

More like:
1st: Any non-sexual physical contact (i.e. kissing, holding hands etc.).
2nd: Indirect manipulation of erogenous zones (i.e. heavy petting, dry-humping).
3rd: Direct, non-penetrative genital manipulation (i.e. oral sex, mutual masturbation etc.).
Home: Penetrative sex.
If there's a euphamism for an act of sexual congress, chances are I have a precise definition for it. The chances are equally great that I have no first-hand experience of it whatsoever...
(Just kidding. Well... except for third base. Man does that part of the diamond ever prove to be particularly fucking elusive... )

Oh, on a completely related note (and this is probably the right place to post it), I've started to read the Bible from cover to cover. I aim to have finished it by mid July. Follow my progress, if you're interested, here (I'm Blurred on that forum).

Yeah, humanity gets completely screwed, right?
But seriously, it's interesting to read even if you know the basic outline of the Biblical mythology. You could debate for a lifetime the meaning of a few seemingly innocuous passages, simply because a lot of the rationale behind what has been written has been lost. So far, at least, I've seen no greater argument against the tenets of Judeo-Christianity than in the words of the Bible itself. There is no way - in the simple, imprecise manner that it is written - that this is anything more than the literature of simple Middle-Eastern folk written over 2,500 years ago. If you treat it in the same manner that you'd treat, say, the mythologies of the Greeks, then it's actually quite an interesting read...
I dunno when I was younger (15ish I think) I was briefly a Sunday School teacher. But lets say I'm a weak agnostic these days. The bible seemed to me just a collection of (good) stories combined and altered to suit the message really.

Have the same intention (and want to read the Koran as well), but am put off by the amount of names it contains. I'm extremely bad at remembering names.
