Personally like the Chinese way a lot. But the EU way is good too. The American way is just... stupid.

LOL, having been partly educated under a british secondary school system, I always find myself screwing up the order in which I'm writing dates (mm/dd/yyyy v.s dd/mm/yyyy)

YYYY/MM/DD I use that all the time for files. Like time sheets for work.
When you click sort so long as you use leading '0's (2008/04/17 instead of 2008/4/17 ... otherwise it would come in front of 2008/12/17) it'll do them chronologically. Before you say by date, it doesn't always work for this. Like if you do 3 time sheets at once.
That kinda thing. But in general very handy. Very logical.

Honestly Z,
dude if it wasn't for you going back and deleting your posts (and you had a habit of doing that)..... you would eat your words.... and the sad thing is... you know it as the truth.... you and several others here have done that (my self included)... not in a upfront in your face way, but yes... you(we) have.....
I know i just opened a possible can of worms with you Z, but hey, at least I am honest.....
its as if I would go back and delete all of my posts of my ribbings Trancer X and then saying on here that "I don't recall anyone doing that, too bad you take criticism to your arguments personally. ".....
You are a cool person, shit everyone here is, even Trancer X(if he would put his ego in check).... but to deny our own shortcomings is to deny reality
BTW, the only posts I've deleted were in the COR, where I don't "attack" people, not in any of my post in the regular PDD threads, unless I thought I brought up something no one gives a fuck about. Don't make me pull up threads where Lilith's resorting to ad hominems instead of actually talking about the issue...
I do realize you guys think I'm dellusional or nuts, but there's nothing I can do about that. I was well aware of what the implications of brining up certain topics would be but I did it out of principle and cost of my reputaiton here, the latter being less important. But I know by now that it will be written off and will only come at personal expense to me. So be it. It's not like those are the only topics I've discussed but those selective topics certainly seems to shape how I'm percieved. In the past I used to stick to only non-controvertial or "respected" sources. So I took my chances only to realize that it's pointless talking about certain subjects. I've considered not posting anymore, and so far I've haven't done that entirely as I have this stupid tendancy to express my view. I still think it's academically beneficial to keep in touch with mainstream political discourse, but I probably will stop posting all together for multiple reason. So far PDD is actually heaps better than most other mainstream political forums, surprising enough.

Whatever, if there's anything my grad school program has taught me it's that a degree does not necessarily correlate to intelligence. From your posts in the past, your life experiences trump anything you could learn in a classroom anyhow.

We write it like that because that is how we speak. If someone asks for my birthday I tell them April 6th instead of the 6th of April. I really don't see why the fuck it matters.

that's a good point, but we have to say the month first for a reason. and it doesn't matter.

because its a right pain in the ass for the rest of the world. but no, the US wont ever change to be more in line with the rest of the world. that concept is fundamentally un-american!
