Used to like playing rugby but i was a wee winger so used to get abuse lol.
Been dump tackled (lifted up and plain dropped on your head), had two guys try to tackle me at the same time one high one low diff angles (think like scissors, tho I stopped and guided ones head into the other, coulda been really nasty for me though...but instead was for them lol) but worst was playing aginst gordonston (prince charles's former school) and a Nigerian prince who had the nickname "bazooka" plain lifted me up and ran with me facing the wrong way to off load for a good 2-3 meters!!!
Also skinned entire teams made up of scotland international level players too though.
But yeah seen eye brows hanging down, nearly everyone gets a broken collar bone at some point, tongues bitten through even with mouth guards. Nasty stuff.

It is more like Serato since Final Crash sucked balls. I almost went with a pair of CDJ1000s, but I'd rather spend the money on a new laptop and Traktor Scratch. I came out spending less that way and it is more functional. I was going to get Serato as I've owned it previously, but with Traktor you have the option to have two more decks routed to your mixer from the audio box for a total of four decks.
M-Audio Torq is another good Serato-esque piece of kit (cheaper too).
Here's a great video series of how Hawtin is using Traktor + all kinds of Allen+Heath gear to run his Contact / M_Nus shows.
Search hawtin+traktor for the rest of the videos.
I've used Torq, and was definitely not impressed. I've seen Richie using that setup live a few times now, but I like using external decks.

Well, damn it. You talked me into sticking with my current setup which is none.

I only messed around with a friends' setup and it was ok. Nothing I would invest in, but that's just my own preference.
I prefer just a damn good mixer and turntables personally. Most of the music I like is older (late 90's until around 2006) and the stuff I still enjoy always gets pressed too so I can always find it on vinyl.
Having said that, it's only a hobby for me and I respect the technology of Traktor and Serato, and CDJ's of course.
I grabbed downloads of Traktor and Ableton but couldn't get my shitty laptop to talk to my external soundcard correctly in order to use my proper mixer instead of the software mixer on either software. The computer mixer just lacks the "feel".

Cool, I actually hated the last one once I heard it again, compelling me to mix this one instead .
