I'm curious what you all thought of the new Star Wars?
After having seen it, I can't shake the feeling that you either need to be blind and deaf, stupid, fundamentalist Lucas-worshipper, or possibly a combination of those, to rate this one higher than a 2 on the 1 to 10 scale. But I see so many 10-out-of-10 reviews, that I'm beginning to suspect that there really is some fantastic redeeming quality to the movie, I just haven't caught onto. You're all observant people, so maybe (if you liked it) you can tell me why it's so fantastic.

I wouldn't say it was that bad, but it's certainly not excellent either. I was also kind of surprised when people started saying that the movie was great, the best Star Wars ever made, and that stuff. But then again, some people who I went with liked James Bond too, so I guess there's hardly any debate possible abot their tastes. I mean, ok, it's better than the retarded Phantom Menace, but it's far from being that good either. It's a bit overstreched imo, especially in the end. I mean that last fight took ages, like ok, become Darth Vader already and get it all over with. Oh yeah, and that R2D2 flying around with a jet engine and a flamethrower capability was really uncalled for.
