Bring her by ... we need a whoanellie replacement. In my personal experience, fundies are rarely individualists. They feel the need to stick up for the actions/beliefs of their religion in its entirety ... no matter how absurd. Furthermore, it's easy to identify hypocritical behavior on the part of individuals or the contradictions of the movement, as it interacts with current events, with its supposed ideology. Then it's simply a matter of posing these contradictions to said fundy and watch them run circles around themselves trying to justify it all. Of course they're not going to make sense so you then use logic to move in with the kill. And of course they're not going to change their minds so at that point they become tools for mockery and amusement ... like a whoopie cushion.

how much can i expect to pay for food over a month? again, depends how cheap you decide. If you want cheap stuff from lidl you could survive on about 40 maybe. not really sure. My family arent working class.

what is the minimum wage? if there is none, how much can i expect to be paid at low-level jobs such as mcdonalds? 7.65euro is the minimum wage.

how developed is the edm scene? ehhh

if underdeveloped (up to 3 clubs), do you believe there are enough people interested in it, that just don't have the proper outlet? do you believe it's the fault of the law/government?
if overdeveloped (above 7 clubs, at least one of them being mainstream),
Theres plenty of clubs and clubnights, none for trance though.

how many edm record shops do you have there? how good are they? how much does a record cost? : About 5 or so in Dublin. There alright, will do a job. Only one for trance though, even then its not great.

For Sweden (I'd recomend you to go to Norway though, you make lots of more money there)

I think you would have to pay around 260 USD for a small 1 room apartment here. That would be included hydro/heating/water. Extra for internet connection (another 30 bucks). Donno what more you need.

Truly no idea, i guess that depends on what you eat. But I think we are somewhere average in Europe when it comes to food prices (almost the same prices as Canada too for that matter).

quote:

No minimum wage, Mcdonalds would be around 9-10 bucks an hour.

If you live in Stockholm it's okay. Nothing really exciting tho. Quite a few big artists come here every year, and pretty much a true trance party every week (nad house is actually house is quite big in stockholm I think). There are lots of clubs that plays really shitty music too.

Yes, our government hate ravers. Much like in Utah I think there are room for more EDM, it's still in it's early stages in Sweden.

Im not really into the whole record thing, but I think it's decent. Most people would order from the internet from the UK tho since it's cheaper.

From $450 - $800 depending on where you live.

quote:

how much can i expect to pay for food over a month?

Well if you eat in I would estimate around $150. But if you drink and eat out on occasion you'd want to double that.

what is the minimum wage? if there is none, how much can i expect to be paid at low-level jobs such as mcdonalds?

$5.75 an hour.

In Aalborg: $200-300. Copenhagen: At least twice that amount. We're the most expensive country to rent apartments in in Europe (and the world I guess).

$200 will buy you decent food (some meat/fish every day) to cook at home, while still allowing you to eat out once or twice.

It's the fault of the media. We've had too much media attention to drugs, and even though all statistics suggest that drug use is wide spread in all kinds of clubs, it's always the "techno"-clubs that gets raided, and it's always the these clubs which are used as stock footage when tv shows spots on drug abuse. Consequently, no nice girls go to EDM-clubs, which means that only the hardcore guys go there, meaning that too few people go there, ending with the clubs closing. I think there's only one or two clubs in all of Denmark, where non-radio music is played.

Noone gets exposed to EDM, so noone seeks out EDM-record shops, so there are none.

Edinburgh wins.

Btw. I've been packing up this week (mentally and physically), and will be leaving the US this monday, then stay a bit with my parents (having a cook and a maid is handy when you're jet-lag'ed ), before moving back home and starting work again. Consequently, I won't post much the next two weeks (and read only the shortest of posts). Have fun!

Oh, are you excited to go back or are you sad to leave? Or both?

Anyway, good luck, and welcome back to old good Scandinavia
