Actually, just to clarify, that was 30K anually, most of which was grants. So he didn't have a whole lot to pay back in terms of loans. Eventhough UT and Austin are great, I'd much rather have stayed in the Bay Area and gone to UC Berkley. But I didn't even bother applying there, which I regret now. I f***in' love California (the Bay Area, not Southern CA/Orange County/LA), and UCB is [obviously] a pretty good school.

EDIT: How the hell did I forget to mention the obvious? The EDM scene over there is infinitely better than Texas, unless you know about some underground scene here that I'm not aware of. Does it even exist ?

No you got me there. I'm my own favorite DJ in San Antonio. Which isn't too bad because I like my own mixes quite a bit. Hmm maybe 30k annually isn't something I would like. However I do know Carnegie has a huge endowment just like Brown and that most of the need is met with grants. Which is a plus.
