recipes???
Ill try to write some recipes up tomorrow when i have most of the day off from work (i need to look up how some things are called in english first). The dishes are quite simple anyway the art is in finding the correct combination of spices to suit every guest taste and that everyone has to figure out on their own (my father and i like the dish to be a little spicy for instance, my mother loves if she can have veggies and bread with it so one has to take that into account and my sister absolutely hates mushrooms so i have to prepare them in a way she doesn't even know they are in there )
@Lilith: That recipe of yours sounded wonderful until i got to the part about the fish. I cant stand seafood. Its not that im alergic to it but if i get even the smallest whiff of fish i get sick (you should see me in supermarkets, holding my breath for as long as it takes to go trough the fish section, it looks funny if your just observing but to me its damn annoying) and if i eat any im throwing up for days. Can that sauce be used with anything else?
And as for energy drinks, this one used to be quite popular at raves here, i wonder why

Should work ok with poultry, bit of a cold chicken salad or something. Was thinking pork too but that tends to be fairly strong flavoured as is

Hey Occ, don't know when you're going to Egypt, but I highly recommend watching this series, [edited out], before you get there.
[edit:] Hehe, maybe not. Shouldn't have recommended something like that to a left brain prisoner.

Get a dozen or so of them and chuck them into a pot of boiling water, hide your child this time so you don't scar them for life
Half a lemon cut into thin wedges thrown in there with a tablespoon of salt.
Boil for 5minutes, leave them to sit for 30 and then put them under cold running water.
In the meantime, get together
1 teaspoon of curry powder
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of ground ginger
1 cup of celery finely chopped
1/2 cup of mayonaise
1/2 teaspoon djion mustard
1/2 cup of honeydew melon finely chopped
Mix up the above in a bowl until it's all combined thoroughly, peel your crayfish and if they're prawns you can leave them whole or halved, bigger critters you'll need to chop up to size.
Gently combine them with the mayo mix and throw them down on a bed of lettuce in a bowl or glass.
have had time to post the results but....
Oh I have to say, I cooked the above with lobster and OMG it was good. had to add a little more curry and mustard..... that was really good, diced up the lobster and made some flat bread with a vinegar and oil for dipping.
Very good and easy recipe.

If you thought it was a bit sweet (and it is a bit), I think you could probably drop the ginger and melon, put some chopped fresh coriander and cucumber instead then use it on red meats and pork.
