Seriously? Why Canada over the USA? What exactly were you thinking?! I must stay up North where it is cold and people are dull?
I've had friends here in exchange programs. Nothing this ridicilous. If you were in the USA you could have gotten a lawyer and become rich.
One big reason i choosed canada over us was actually thanks to a thread here at TA where even the americans (for example occrider ) recomended me to go to canada over the US for high school! and then i also heard from a lot of ppl in sweden that had been here that it was an awesome country! and i also heard that it was supposed to be more liberal and have more freedoms in canada, but apperntly not and i didnt get to choose state, so i was affraid to end up somewhere in the bible belt....

Yea if it was college I believe I told you there wasn't any question that you should go to the US. But for high school, you don't want to fuck around with some US schools, some of them can be pretty shitty in podunk USA. However, I figured that if the Canadian high schools were just as shitty, some knowledgeable canuck would have spoke up. Blame Canada as usual ...

Although since I've made that recommendation to St_Andrew, I've noticed that all high school chicks (at least in the US) are bona-fide whores in training. Have you people seen some of the stuff they're wearing??? Where the hell was all that when I was in high school???
Getting laid nowadays has got to be as easy as walking across the street and asking a girl if she likes kinky butt sex.

(Seriously though, it's interesting just to go on there - purely for research purposes of course - to find out exactly what percentage of the population you could ever find to be attractive. The correct answer, you'll probably find, is "not a fucking lot".)

True, last night I was standing around minding my own business (not dancing, not drunk enough at the time) when a pretty frigging decent lady (read that as hot) with a cool south african accent just came up and grappped me and pulled my up dancing and was all over me.
I was like by the time it set in I'd already said "Ohh South Africa that explains the weird accent..." worst part is I so could of got some if I'd been more drunk and just went for it but I think she thought I wasn't keen (I was still desiding or something... ok...).
Moral of the story always drink more.

Yes. Thats always the best way to make very important life choices. You should especially try consulting the COR for all those especially important cross-rodes.

Seriously, are you coming on exchange program to learn or are you coming to have fun? The level of education is just stupid. High school education is a high school education. You could be in the worst Canadian high school or the best US one (since its luck where you fall anyway) and you'd still come out ok.

Actually you'd be lucky if you were to fall in the bible belt. The southern states are superfically very strict, but realistically have the happiest, easiest, fun, welcoming people. Plus its WARM. You'd actually see how it is to live in a place that it doesn't snow. Ever.
They'll give you a beer, let you into bars, and well if the cops show up they'll reluctantly give you an MPI. But thats a bragging right in these parts.

haha, well, obviously some answers in there are bullshit, but you can pretty easiliy tell which ones are. I actually think TA is a great resource, i dont know any other place where i can ask so many ppl from so many places and get so helpful answer as what to do with a choice like that. If i wouldnt have asked, i would only have gone somewhere on guess kinda now it was more like a qualified guess
plus that i did check out other sources too and they indicated the same thing

True, but something i have found out that if you go to a bad school, the people there are usually pretty weird. I much rather hang out with smart ppl
My school here is decent (but still sucks), and i have like the hardest classes (i still dont care shit tho cuase it doesnt count for my education in sweden), but i find that the people in those "hard classes" are much nicer and more on my level... then of course there seem weird ppl in those classes too aka the nerds...

Ya, warm would be nice, although i dont mind winter, i like snow and skiing and so, just the period in between that is shitty
but yeah, many canadians here in rural canada arent very welcommy, but even tho they are not that christian here, they are still really christian, and it is driving me nuts, cause that too is violating my freedoms (for example, im not allowed to have a girl on my room, WTF... in sweden my mom would give me condoms if i had two girls for a sleepover and tell us to have fun kinda )

Im legal drinking age here too now, but yeah it was a pain at first but yeah, i like when it is more laid back... so perhaps i should have choosen us instead... i donno, would still have been the same organisation tho... (although i have a friend that is in montana with the same organisation now, and she has no problems with them)
