I bring it up because it just happened to me last night to perhaps the most absurd degree I've ever seen. I was just sitting at my computer, reading something online, and I noticed out of the corner of my eye that there was something on my shirt. So I look down and see a massive red stain, and upon further examination I discover that it's blood from a 5 inch long cut leading from my chest down to my abdomen. Then, and only then, does it start to actually hurt.
But for the life of me, I can't figure out how it could have possibly happened. There wasn't any physical damage to my shirt which I had been wearing all day basically. And if something gave me a huge cut like that, I'd intuitively expect that I'd notice. But apparently not.
Oh and as far as the cut goes, fortunately it wasn't too deep, but boy did it bleed a lot. I had to change the dressing six times last night, but it looked much better this morning and I think I'm going to get away without a scar. What bothers me more than the cut itself, is the fact that I can't figure out how it could have happened.
Hmm, I ocasionally have a little cut here that I don't notice, especially when I'm being outdoors, but I never really sat at home and noticed a 5 inch fully bleeding cut on my body...
Maybe you have a split personality with the other half that enjoys hutring yourself..or maybe you are one of the victims of alien obductions..or maybe you're one of those people with a malformed sense of touch and pain..

Honestly I am not sure of what to think of the whole situation. I told him how I felt, but I botched it up because I was so nerve wrecked that I ended up leaving 3/4 of my speech out. He knew that too. He just said "You had more to say didn't you?" and I said "Of course, I had a ten page long essay type thing planned out in my head and I barely got through the first paragraph before I blanked out." In the beginning he joked and asked if what I was about to say had to do with "man problems" and I said "something of the sort". After I got done with my rambling (I ramble very badly when I'm nervous), he said he understood where I was coming from, apologized, and then asked "So I take it you've found another man?" I wasn't sure what to think. I said "Of course not, this isn't about finding another man at all." And then we agreed that I shouldn't join the band this weekend on the road trip, which is quite painful because I've gone with them to help on every show for the past few months. In the end... I'm still not sure where we stand. I suppose we stand purely at friendship, but our mutual friend asked me if I had even mentioned that I would like there to be a relationship or if I focused on the friends schpeel and that's when I realized I had merely focused on the friends thing, and had not mentioned once that I would have liked a relationship out of this thing. But then again, he never suggested it? All I can see in my head when I close my eyes is his face and the way he looked at me. That's not how you look at a platonic friend. It simply isn't.
Umm, so you never really had any..physical contact? I suppose then it was some sort of a platonic let's-pretend-to-be-friends-but-secretly-fantasize-about-each-other relationship? But anyway, did he at least this time realize that you want a relationship with him?

Well the bottom picture looks like Cloud vs Sephiroth, the middle picture is Tifa. No idea who the other two pictures are of but they look like the same person

You (i.e. the persona portrayed through your posts) are without a doubt the most interesting person I've ever been acquainted with. I don't think anyone without your problem could have come up with this as a joke. Highly unusual.
About the physical cut: Did it seem to be "clean", as in "cut by a knife"? Could you see any objects around you that could have been used to cut you? Too bad that you're an atheist, if you were a Christian you could have proclaimed yourself a stigmatic. The cut seem to fit nicely with the spear thing.

I must say that not many RPG's have ever sucked me in like FF7. I think I may have just needed a memory jolt to remember the characters. Ahhh...Sephiroth...what a badass.

Yeah, did you notice any bleeding palms at around that time?

It didn't really look like a knife cut, more like the kind of cut your might get from brushing really roughly against a sharp corner on a piece of furniture.
I'm still completely baffled. There wasn't any blood I could find outside of the immediate area where I discovered the cut and a path to the bathroom where I took care of it, which leads me to believe it either happened while I was sitting at the computer (wtf?) or very shortly before I sat down. There isn't anything that looks like it could cause such a cut on or around my desk.
