So I just ran to our neighborhood head shop (for the record, probably the friendliest head shop/staff ever!) to pick up a cheap, disposable piece of glass for our trip to Miami, where I have a 1/4 of some heady, heady nugs waiting for me. I walked in, and as the dude was one of the owners that at the very least recognizes me (I shop there kind of a lot) and is always very friendly, I just flat out said:

"So here's the deal, I'm going on vacation tomorrow..."

And he cuts me off, and says:

"...and you need something you can use and then leave behind, right? I was on SB last week... lol!"

Grabs a relatively cheap (Sticker price was $25), very commercial piece of glass and hands it to me saying "$10 man, thanks for all your business, and have a good break!"

Totally hooking up a cheap piece of glass so I didn't have to spend too much loot because he knew it was just going to get thrown out at the airport on the way home.

Kind of a random story, but damn is it cool when people hook you up for patronizing their store!

lol, thats cool! I never need to buy glass from head shops, cause my cousin's bf blows glass and makes SIIIIICK pipes.

2 weeks ago, I was over at her house and he had his whole collection of recent work with him, and hes like "Hey, isnt it your bday next week?" "Yeah" *opens case* "Pick one "

Fuckin score!

And even if I pay, he usually gives me like 40-50$ pipes for 20$.

I wish the head shop I got to was friendly. They are such wieners, and they kick you out if you say, "Bong" and other shit like that. They don't even sell good lighters.

My Jar and a piece of glass I got for X-Mas this year were blown for me, I've got a couple friends in the area who are sick at blowing (My friend Bill owns a shop in Madison, "Good Times," that has the sickest glass I've ever seen!), but this shop in Waukesha (Soundwaves) gets glass from a couple of amazing guys out in Oregon, so it's definitely worth it to drop in every once in a while to see what kind of head pieces they've got.

And their prices are fuckin' unreal, it's the only head shop I've ever shopped in where I didn't feel ripped off!

These guys are kinda the same way, you can't say "Bong" in ANY head shop now because of the Ashcroft laws, but they post their rules in pretty blatant locations and if you miss them, I guess they take the "ignorance is no excuse" attitude, and they will kick you out. But for the most part, they're cool cats who are just watching their asses so they don't get shut down...
