Promoting is by far not my favorite thing to do, but I need cash and I need to get into the EDM scene here- It's a decent way to do both at the same time

Yea thats true. You'll definately make some good contacts cause of that, which will land you gigs (which I'm guessing is the ultimate goal).

As for the gig...it went pretty well. I haven't played since July so I was really rusty in the beginning, but after about an hour I started to get the hang of the cd players and mixer. I played for my manager at this dive that he wants to re-do into a nice pre-party spot. It was pretty much all me and my buddy from 6-10.45.
