Sorry for being nosy I have 2 friends that are ex H junkies, and neither of them are able to really tell me why they started out with it in the beginning, so I was curious. I always figured that was because they weren't being honest with themselves, or they were just shy to tell me.
Both have been through rehab (years ago now). Neither have relapsed, though, which is pretty awesome.
Take your rehab seriously, be honest with yourself (which you seem to be) and you'll pull through. Again, good luck. It can't be fun. And I hope you remember every minute of it.
no that's ok, i think it is important for people to hear it from someone who has done it for long periods of time...it starts out pretty innocent....you take a hit..feels good, but you don't buy it...then you feel like trying some more and you begin to buy it for lets say 30bucks a gram.. but you only do it on weekends...then you do it on a monday as well...four days is enough to get hooked, at least freebasing it, i dont know if shooting up makes you addicted to it faster, i assume it does.
then prices start to go up...its not 30 anymore, its 40, then its 50, then its 60..and chances are its still 30 but i am ending up buying my dealers heroin addiction as well..and you're so into it you dont fucking care...
you check your bank balance and you noticed you've withdrawn over $2000 from a ATM that month...you can't really explain at that time whats going on so what do you do...you pawn your shit for a fucking gram to get you through the day. And some days you can't even get a gram, which means you stay in bed suffering like there's no tomorrow wishing you were dead...fever, itching, cold sweat, nausea, muscle aches, teary eyes....
but then it comes and you take a hit and it is the best feeling in the world.
Eventually you're like is so fucked up you decide it's time to stop and you get off it however you want to. You can do cold turkey, which is healthier...or buy substitute narcotic pharmaceuticals, and slowly reduce the doses until you are out.
and thats the way it went at least the firm time...second time around (recently) ive had no problems at all thank god, i mean i live in a great villa with a view from downtown, fully furnished, two floors, i have my girl, and my bank balance is doing great..but i was doing it too much and of course it had to stop NOW. i dont hang out with shady people, and i knew what i was doing already but thats a different story. You know those are phases of life some of us go through,,because maybe you have a philosophy of trying everything before you die,
im glad your friends got off it, cheers to them, and thanks a a lot mate for the good fortune, i am sure im riding this unicorn right to the fucking rainbow now.
