The Progressive Showcase returns this coming Monday (February 8th) for another two hours of the finest in progressive dance music. This week I'll be joined by our first special guest of the year in the shape of Midlands based upstart Shaun Mynett.
Shaun is definately a name to watch out for in 2010, alongside his regular gigs in the Midlands for Flush (a brand he co-promotes) & Gatecrasher (Birmingham) Shaun has established a burdeoning fan base in London & across the net. Prestigious gigs at Ministry of Sound & on the fantastic ElectronicSessions boat parties along the Thames have further promoted Shaun's self decsribed 'prog with a punch' style to the dance community.
Shaun's sixty minute guest mix will be broadcast during hour two of this weeks show, expect material from the likes of 16 Bit Lolitas, Jerome Isma-ae, EDX & many more.
The opening salvo will be taken care of by yours truly with a trademark array of audacious audio spanning from some melodic techno through to our usual progressive protocol. Expect productions & remixes from the likes of Andy Duguid, Rex Mundi, DJ Remy, Gui Boratto & many more.
The show is set for broadcast from 17.00 - 19.00 (GMT) via The Progressive Channel over at http://www.sense.fm I very much hope some of you can tune in!

Three has been tirelessly holding the flag for underground electronic music in the US since his rise out of the sunny state of Florida in the early '90s. He’s held residencies at NYC’s Twilo, Cielo, and Love (Robots), as well as Florida’s legendary Simon’s, while playing lauded guest spots in San Francisco (Wicked, Pacific Sound, Kontrol), London (Fabric, T Bar, Superfreq), Berlin (Panorama Bar, Divisionaire, Watergate), Japan (Labrynthe Festival, Unit), Australia (Rainbow Serpent Festival), Portugal, Spain, and more. As you can see, Three never disappoints crowds the world over. 2009 saw NYC promoters BLK|Market Membership proclaiming a recent 5 hour closing set of Three's as "the best set of 2009 for us."
Armed with a sound that borrows equally from vintage acid-house, techno and underground electronica, his Hallucination Limited imprint has been held in the highest regard. As of 2010, a newly relaunched Hallucination Limited is officially a major player again with new music and mixes from Cheap & Deep, Butane, Gadi Mizrahi (Wolf & Lamb), Reverse Commuter, Sycophant Slags (Mr C & Adultnapper), Seth Troxler & Inxec and Peter Von Hoesen to name a few.... starting with Reverse Commuter - Southern Charge which includes a mix by Three released on February 2nd.
Aside from his natural ability on the decks, Three sets himself apart from the rest of the pack by presenting eclectic sounds with an open-minded attitude towards everything he does. From DJ sets to musical output, Three is a "DJ's DJ" who has always leaned toward the cutting edge without losing touch with the roots of house and techno. Leaving an indelible impression everywhere he goes, Three continues to steadily cement his reputation as one of the best American underground DJs to emerge in the last decade.

'METROPHONIC' with: Leama / Davis & 'BORIS WERNER' TONIGHT on WWW.DI.FM
'Metrophonic' (Radio) returns for this February edition with special guest mix from 'BORIS WERNER' and Leama / James Davis.
With this special show you will expect to hear none other that the finest electronic music out there right now, brought to you in a true Metrophonic style, plus our usual feature of 'Metrophonic's Single of the Month, and a very special guest mix from one of the world's finest.
This month, enjoy the funky sounds of Hollands finest:
Boris Werner (Boris van Zuilen) has created quite a stir, not only for his enthusiasm behind the decks but also for producing some magnificent grooves in the last years.
The style of the funny funkier is what we call organic funky soul music. Fat on the groove, thick on the baselines and yet subtle on the melodies.
When Boris started producing his own sounds late 2005, it became clear that this was one of his talents.
Boris released his first track "Matchmaker / Legeres" in 2007, together with his friend and musical partner in crime Lauhaus.
After its massive success, they released a second track called "Revenge Of The Nerds" (2008). These two successful releases drew a great deal of attention to Boris as a producer, and soon he was asked to make his first remix on the label of Matthias Tanzmann/Moon Harbour. The remix was already highly supported by many great artists.
In the mean time Boris was busy producing his first solo EP "No Day Like Monday", which was released in august 2008 and immediately sold out.
Besides being a DJ he’s also one of the members of the 6 men laptop collective “Amsterdam 661” (other members: David Labeij, Kabale und Liebe, Julien Chaptal, Quazar MG and Lauhaus).
With his funkiness he moved many crowds at fantastic places such as Club 11 (r.i.p.), Studio 80, Rex, Voltt, 5 days Off, Tenax, Panoramabar, T/bar, Awakenings, Welcome To The Future, Sonne Mond und Sterne, Trouw, Rashomon and many more.
