Tune in to Static Progress each night this week for an exclusive guest mix from ADAM ELLIS: www.staticprogress.com
Adam started to listen to trance music after a friend persuaded him to go to Gatecrasher back at the start of 2007. It was by far the best night of his life. The lasers, the people and most of all the music. Ever since that night he has been hooked on trance music. A few months later he spent a Trance fuelled summer in Ibiza, where he was a regular at massive trance nights such as Armada and Cream.
On returning to the UKk Adam decided he wanted to do a little more than just listen to trance, he wanted to make it my self. He bought a copy of FL Studio 7 and worked hard over the next year, trying to understand how tunes were structured and what sounds went where. After a year his ideas gained interest from labels such as Aurora Digital and Redux Recordings, however his mastering was holding him back. Adam took action and first off switched to Logic Pro 8. After that he decided to buy a new pair of monitors. As well as having some better eqiuptment he sat down, and with the help of some great friends tried to understand how mixing a song works.
As of now he has been producing for 18 months and things are falling into place. He has a release coming out on some well known labels as well as running his own radio show. Adam want to carry on creating music for other peoples enjoyment as well as his own and wants to carry on doing so for as long as it truly interests him...
