Its funny that most people are commenting about the gaming consols more then the actual DJ setup. I guess its because after a few hundread setups, expensive DJ equipment just inst as cool to look at anymore ...Although since my setup is probly not even worth one of those decks it is sorta dreamy

yeah, i am amused that everyone is talking about the Panzer xbox as well... but it comes with the territory. When I had it back in the US for a year, most people who saw it and didnt know me also let out a "holy fuck" type reaction.

I shop at cisco osaka/house pt. 2 shibuya and dancegrooves online.
I dont dj out because I am not good enough yet. That is the goal for the year.
As far as clubbing... it just depends on when I am in the mood. I am always going to be at Energy-Dai events at Joule or Fanj Twice because I am staff interpreter for Emotional Design Inc. (The production company behind Loaded and alot of Joule events) You should come out the May event, we will be bringing in Anne Savage. Send me a PM later and Ill give you my keitai email so I can throw you on the list.
I go to Tokyo for big events - Im friends with Ferry so I went to meet him out there last December at velfarre, and Dai is putting me on the list for PvD at ageHa, so I will probably swing out that way during golden week.
Anyways, PM me and maybe we can hook up next time I go record shopping. I live in Takatsuki on the JR Kobe/Kyoto line or Hankyu line.

Hey guys, thanks alot for the compliments. I am not really rich, I just budget myself well to make sure I have alot of money to spend on toys.
Sure Libra, if you are ever in Japan, PM me and we can have some drinks and screw around on the decks.
Nou, living in Japan is great, but it is like living anywhere else... it has its ups and downs. I would kill for some taco bell and florida orange juice.
As far as the question about me being serious about djing - I am doing this 100% for fun. I like jumping up and down in my bedroom and creating music via other peoples music. When I was younger I would always be creatively frustrated, because I would want to do something artistic, but I cant draw or play instruments etc. However, with the decks that frustration is gone because I can always try something new, but I am really hard on myself, so if a mix is subpar in any way, I get frustrated in a new way. Probably because I spend all day at work listening to DJ mixes on my iPod and try to hold myself up to that kind of standard.
So in short - I dont think I would turn down a club gig (I actually got a call about possibly playing a Loaded night in May or June or another night at Joule) but it isnt why I dj. I dj for fun.

good to hear that you DJ for the love of the music rather than anything else. That is why you'll have a better chance at suceeding and knowing major djs helps too. But keep it real do it for the love.
