There's my stuff. Haven't posted a pic of my DJ gear in ages. Since the last time almost everything has changed. Pic isn't all that good and hasn't got any DJing going on at the time. I just had to snatch a pic as I just cleaned the whole apartment and DJ gear is looking nice without much dust around.
Nice setup, identical to mine. (Mixer and Turntables)
If you ever play out you should check out the Crane Laptop stand. it's a little beaut and tucks away nicely into any dj bag.

Been thinking of adding a xone:1D actually, but that won't happen anytime soon as I'm a poor student atm. Also I haven't had enough time to play as I've been too busy with studying, so I can't justify new gear just yet.

Thanks.
They're just cheap Ikea shelves and brackets modified a bit to accommodate the cable raceways and the cables of the led strips placed underneath the shelves. I had no space for monitor stands, so I had to get shelves instead. The shelves were a much cheaper and sturdier option too. And no issues with any bass frequencies duplicating even though the speakers are so close to the wall, so I'm quite happy with them.
Moving flat has meant the cool basement studio has been lost, but at least the view has improved! Just acquired a new camera so went a bit mad with the photos, sorry...
Do you find yourself still using the EFX500 after getting Traktor?

Of course, who could ignore having a big flashing effects box right in front of their face whilst mixing
Seriously though, its often easier just to use the EFX for a delay or a flange (s******) if ive got the effects in traktor set up for other jobs instead of reconfiguring the fx section in traktor. Also the way the I have everything routed using the X:FX sends on the 42 means I can set up some nifty chained effects without having to switch from complex to chained within traktor.

I just do it exactly the way I enjoy listening to it. This is most of the time it is with banging beats. It is even with a soft thing, a soft melodic idea, or whatever. I still like to have it rocking. Keep in mind what this music is made for, first of all. Its not made to be easy listening on the radio. Its not made to be easy listening in television. Its actually kick ass in the club. This is what music is. This is the purpose of this art form...to listen to it and let the frequencies actually blow you away. --Paul Van Dyk
