In total, I'd have to ballpark that setup costs at least $3,000.

I moved things around and built myself a proper table to put my stuff on. I'm 6"4 so its nice not to have to bend down and mix. The table is really solid.

Any suggestions how I should start working on my setup. I have 0 knowledge so need help. I want to like try producing my own melodies - I heard Ableton is a good way to go about it. Should I buy the software and learn it or do I need something more?

hahaha wow .. nice to see ur very determined .. but in my opinion i think u are abit tooo ambitious..its not a bad thing but try starting out djing first .. then learn about beatmatching and stuff .. then further down the line .. after u are confident with ur mixing and stuff.. then go on to producing...
anywayz if u haven already have decks.. u can get either vinyl TT .. or CDjs.. TT will be cheaper.. but will be more expensive in the long run due to vinyl buying .. CDjs .. will be abit more expensive.. but its cheaper than vinyl..

No dude, he wants to produce, not DJ. You don't have to be able to dj to produce.

Its a lot harder than I am thinking haan??
I guess producing music appeals to me...I have this habit of modifying the songs I am listening to in my head to what I would rather make it...lol, dunno if you see what I am trying to say or may be I'm a lil crazy...
But yea, I would love to make my own music - whats the way to go about it???
I would go for the CDj thing rather than the vinyl - easier to get CD's n stuff...plus CD's seem more state of the art.
