Actually covering them up is not a good idea. They need to be ventiliated. It says it in the manual of the CDJs and of most mixers. You don't want them to overheat, so putting them in cases for a long period isn't a good idea, nor is putting them away in some cabinent either. I think the best idea is to just dust them off after each use, since most of the dust that accumulates comes actually from you using it. I have my set up in a room that no one is hardly in, and they attract a lot less dust than the set up I had that was in my room.

... yeah, but you don't cover them when in use. he means, when not in use. it's not going to hurt them being poorly ventilated and turned off, trust me. they aren't like frogs, you don't have to poke holes in the lid for them to breahe
