To be fair, he knew it was of course possible to take pictures due to exposure time, he just asserted that you can't see that sort of thing with the naked eye. In most cases, he's right, but if you are in a dark enough place (or high enough... which is typically dark, too) it's totally fucking possible.

Yeah man, where I live you can most certainly see shit like that with the naked eye. Even better if you drive an hour or two more North.
