Well, the word "shire" was originally an old English word meaning "the countryside". But yes, my djing and production name is from LOTR, The Shire being the land that hobbits came from. It's a joke about my appearance, as I have been told many times I look a bit like Sean Astin (who played Sam in the LOTR movies).
