so i have this friend (by association, he's eli's friend i guess) and he's first nations... so he has treaty rights and gets to hunt/shoot as much as he wants. Now i'm sure there are those that take advantage of it and kill for fun, but this guy's pretty fucking hardcore about being native. in 1999 the national film board of canada made a movie about him called 'the little trapper' http://www.onf-nfb.gc.ca/eng/collection/film/?id=33708. that being said, he's on my facebook and i can't believe the shit this guy does in his everyday life..
he also raises sled dogs and has his own team..
some of his pups
lol eli took this picture at work.. he's just taking the piss.

respekt to him, but the dead animals also made me sad
not that there's any difference in killing them, and killing any livestock, still made me sad though
stu, that owl had to be alive
Yeah, I thought the owl looked (possibly) alive, but it's hard to tell, with the other pics
I fully get that the guy identifies with being native. No problems there at all. I hope he hunts things that aren't endangered or something though, even if he has the right to do so.
And I hope he eats everything he kills, or they were killed in some kind of defense (though, I get the feeling that's unlikely).

Sport hunting is for wankers, IMO.
do completely agree personally-
I feel extremely uncomfortable about any kind of killing. At the same time, I logically realise that the death of any animal (humans incl.) is pretty much the same, and there's no rational distinction to be made between the way that chickens or cows are raised to be killed, and the way animals are killed by individuals or corporations kill other animals for fun/profit... If anything its kind of better since those animals at least live their life in freedom, before their horrible deaths...
to sum up:
death sucks.
