Yeah. I've got into the habit of only using my laptop while laid in bed, so I rest it on my stomach and my hand sits to the left of the touchpad. I picked up this habit while I was at university, because the atrocious house we rented got so cold in the winter that lying under your duvet with all your clothes on was the only way to stay warm. I'm not sure using a laptop while lying horizontally is particularly healthy, but it certainly relieves the usual aches and pains you get from prolonged computer usage.
That's terrible for your laptop (and your health). You should use a laptop fan/mat, or better yet, one of those breakfast trays people use in bed, so your laptop doesn't overheat, and you won't get cancer of the bollocks.
