I love Instagram. I've never used it, and have no intention of signing up either.

The way I see it, the more shit quality photos out there, in the boom-time of digital photo post-processing, the better my own pics look without being altered at all

And, aside from cropping, I don't fuck with my own pics much at all.

Well it isn't just me. A whole team of people are involved in code situations. It isn't actually that big of a deal. Do some CPR, give some life saving drugs, use defibrillation, etc. My first day on the floor when I started this job I had to do compressions...I had such good rhythm going that the doc said "This patient has a pulse!" It's cause of all that rave music I listen to.
