All experiences I had were awesome: One time I found some people from high school (a bit after graduation) and it was great, and some other time I approached some random girl just to ask what time it was and we wound up having dinner together and then going to the cinema later on.

That's kind of what we did in Montreal. Nobody calls anybody to meet up, no plans, it's a relatively small "scene" so you just go and everyone is already there. Amazing times.
