Madeon

Madeon, the young EDM prodigy from France will be making a big splash this summer as he will be making a lot of first time appearances around the world thanks to his ambitious touring schedule. Probably his biggest gig will be on July 14th where he is scheduled to appear in front of 65,000 fans warming up for the Swedish House Mafia at the Milton Keynes Bowl in the UK.

What are your thoughts about the young EDM talent? Do you think he's the next big EDM star? Will he have lasting power? I've been a big fan of his since his live mashup was released on Youtube last year. Since then I've been really impressed with his latest EP release 'Icarus' and his Martin Solveig remix.

I'm personally going to see him twice this summer as he will be appearing in Ottawa on May 20th, and in Toronto in July as part of the Identity Festival.

^^^90% of the posts above me... Quite funny really - tell you what, if Carlsberg did A&R's you guys would all take it.

With regards to Madeon, I think he is doing well for himself and I enjoy some of his productions, can't comment on his live performance as I haven't seen him yet.

Icarus was awful. Quoting your last hit in your next hit is not really something that will ever be ok. He is good. But like every single dubstep / electro artist , everything they do is the same.

And the kid has not had enough life experience to be a performer. You can' t possibly understand how to entertain a room of drug addled clubbers if you haven't been there at least once.
