No, not at all, check the Dutch team, has been like that for many years. And Germany also have players with Polish roots like Podolski and Klose.

Germans were allied with the ottomans (turks) in world war I

the iraqi's & palestinians in WWII.

Anyways its good to see diversity on the teams.

From a friends' FB page:

The England team visited an Orphanage in Poland today.

"It's heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope" said a little boy, aged 6

Maybe they'll be able to put something together this year when the expectations are so low already to begin with?

Spain - Italy, nice match, although both had many chances. Italy surpised but that's good for the tournament I think.

Agreed! This 1-1 draw leaves things wide open for one of these two teams to not advance if Croatia can rack up some goals and wins

Balotelli is exactly what Germany is missing: a crazy-ass bastard. The whole team is one big episode of My Little Pony. You need a leader that pushes everyone to play better, someone like Oliver Kahn. Won't win a title with this friendship-is-magic team imho.

Schweini isn't a crazy-bastard but don't you think him capable of pushing everyone to play better?? I even think of Muller as being someone who (certainly not now, but in the future) will fill that role.
