It's not Tribal, that's the Danny Tenaglia stuff. It's called Trival with a V.
Yeah, it all sounds the same and very repetative, but occasionally you'll find some tunes that are good. Diplo has been supporting 3Ball MTY (aka Eric Rincon, Dj Otto, and Sheeqo Beat). They are young kids. I think they're like 18 or 19 now.
Their older stuff sound horrible, which is what the OP posted. Their newer stuff is HUGE. Their song Intentalo was/is a HUGE crossover hit. It broke all kinds of charts and it's played on every freaking spanish speaking radio station & TV Station regardless of genre. It's a MONSTER and girls LOVE that song. It was produced by Toy Selectah which is why the song is well made. He has the experience to make hit tracks as he has produced many Mexican Pop Stars. Their new tracks aren't anywhere near as popular as Intentalo.
3Ball MTY has performed in many countries including Germany, the US, Mexico and in many award shows including the Billboard Awards. There's been several acts that have tried to reproduced the 3Ball sound but they had limited success.
The actual Trival genre didn't quite make it big in LA. It was becoming popular but it died out quickly due to shitty releases. There's only very few songs worth getting played. However, in Houston it's HUGE! That's where it all started. I guess you can say Houston is to Trival what Berlin is to Techno.

Holy shit, I've heard that before.
There's another electronic song that is really popular... its style is similar to this.
