Tomorrow is the first rave outing of 2018, and it's about as big as it gets. Henry Saiz, Guy J, Nick Warren, Quivver and Charlie May in a 14 hour prog bonanza over in Liverpool. I've booked two full days off work next week to recover properly.
I bought a crateful of tunes from Beatport this week as part of their 50% discount offer, so I might record a mix tonight to play on the coach across to Liverpool.
Got my passport ready and my holidays have just begun! We considered going to Pyeongchang, but it's too damn far. We also thought of going to England, as I wanted to show London to my wife, but she's now a doctoral student and spending too much time sight-seeing would get on her Tate's.
So we'll probably stay put

That's how I bought my "super doper gym record collection of 2018". Ram Records for the battery sessions, Hospital Records for the recovery, and Blackout is just too obvious to bother coming up with a corny line, I've probably outdone myself in this post

Oh yeah, I recently bought some new music too. Raffi. Lulz.
But also the new Justin Timberlake, old Madonna, and the best of ELO for myself.

There's no judging here. I've just recently found out there's this song that can be mixed seamlessly with quite a few other tracks I bought so I went ahead and bought it. The track?
Ooh ooh ooooooooooooooooooooooooooohh!!!

The new Tay Tay album wasn't that great really. Her defense of her reputation is getting a little try-hard. I do like that song "Getaway Car" though, Jack Antonoff crafted a perfectly 80's anthem with that modern flare like only he can do.

The wife is having a bad night tonight. Just taking a bath and drying her hair has her reeling with dizziness/vertigo. And she's supposed to work a 12 hr. shift at a nursing home tomorrow. We still don't even know, for sure, what this is, and it's already kicking her ass. I know life is random, and anything can happen at any time, but damn if it doesn't FEEL like this stuff show be 20 years on down the road. And all the while, my younger step-daughter (16) has spent the entire afternoon on Facetime without a care in the world. Youth is truly wasted on the young.

To the 16 year old's defense, perhaps that's her way of coping? Having lived with a sick parent as a teen, escape/denial was my number one coping mechanism. Grief is brutal to navigate, even with mental and emotional maturity on one's side.
