Is it possible for a PCI sound card to 'burnout' or generally... DIE???? I think mine did, luckily I also have an onboard card so im not completely out of sound.
But I would really like to be able to use teh 24-bit, as I do sound editing/mixing. I have done everything in my power short of rewiring the card/buying a new one and nothing seems to work, I have all the drivers and software installed, even re-installed windows XP Pro and nothing helps! If you have any suggestions other than "buy a new one" I'd appreciate it.
P.S. the small-desktop style speaker system I had hooked up to the card seems to be facing the same problem. It can't/doesn't change volume anymore and the wired-control-pod doesn't light up correctly to indicate mute/volume. |
