How on earth does Pvd take 4 notes and play a constant melody through out his tune and make it sound the nuts?? I try a similar style track and it just sounds so boring it begins to get on my ti ts?? |

its about automation, like filter LFOs and stuff, its about a good synth sound that doesnt get repetitive, there are subtle variations in melody that you almost dont notice, and first of all its layering - so ask yourself how the other elements work together with your melody. does the rythm change? how are fill FX used? last thing to ask yourself would be if your track has a logical progress in structure and enough dynamics. |

Another thing you can try is to use other chord variations.
Try this:
play F, E, C, A is a arpeggio in the right hand.
Hold D as your bass note for 1 bar, then F.
So you are playing the same "melody" but you are implying different chords. |
