myspace compresses the auido files. post a sample of the track your uploading and the track on myspace

Yes, the myspace player sucks. I have my own website, so I host my songs there (usually at 192kbps) and I use a Flash XML-based player on my myspace to stream the songs from my server - no restriction on the quality or number of songs. You can find these players all over the web for free or make your own if you're fluent in Flash.

No - it's just a very basic XML-playlist style player - simple, but effective and nicer looking (IMO) than the myspace player. The two major drawbacks of mine are (1) the lack of a time elapsed clock for each track and (2) the fact that other myspace users can't add my songs to their page (not that anyone would want to :p ).

Yeah I have made a modified version of that player that allows you to skip ahead in time when the track loads:

http://www.trancesa.com/player/xspf...seekandplay.zip

That's more useful for bigger mixes

I don't think it is too hard to add a clock, if you guys wanted me to I could ;)

you may also want to look at xstreamist.com

you give them one measely dollar a month, and everything is gravy...
