Nah! : ) it is a full fledged synthesiser (in contradiction to Atmosphere) so you will be able to tweak as much as you like (along with oscillators etc.), and from what I've seen so far the possibilities will be awsome.
Of course thats also a rompler and quite possibly a sampler in a future update, so quite a nice and deep hybrid of everything, plus it sounds amazing imo.
Check out the website man : ) |

I amazes me that newbies can make such ignorant comments regarding something that they obviously know nothing about. The irony is, he was actually trying to be condescending.
@pwnage1: next time to you remark on something that you know nothing about, try using Google. With about 32 seconds of searching you would've found the FAQ and avoided the firm implantation of your foot in your mouth:

Back OT: Yeah, I'm counting down the minutes until Omnisphere is released. Should be fun. |

I must admit I'm not a big fan of their earlier products (can't get a bassline from trilogy to save my life :D) so I'm not buying all the hype...yet. But omnisphere seems a genuinely original concept and could be an amazing plugin. Will wait for the first reviews before deciding though.. |

Its not like i dont use presets ever its just that it seemed a little overboard to buy 40 gb of samples that i wouldnt use as much. Plus synthesizing sounds is my favourite aspect of production.
Also you are right i guess i should have learned more about the product before posting. But with a price tag of 400 Usd i dont think i will ever afford this.
Edit: I read a little bit about it and it does seems to be pretty sweet. But as said $400 Us dollar Price tag is too much for me. |

actually i try to avoid it and save me from the fanboy hype around this synth.
it gets really annoying to hear the word omnisphere everywhere praised as the best synth and nobody every played with one yet  |

I was saving up. I dig all the Spectrasonics products, but for now I have more important things to save money for first. Maybe later on. I got to buy my own copy of trilogy as well, still. Both are put on the long term list for now. |

I thought it was called "Stratosphere" and it comes out Sep 15th? So what is "Omnisphere" then? |

Stratosphere is an expansion set for Nexus, as far as I know.
Omnisphere is a new synth being developed by Spectrasonic (known from Atmosphere, Trilogy and Styles). |

Well I bought the fanboy hype after hearing some of the patches and seeing some of its features in motion. I guess I just hope it to be as good as I expect it to be ... if that makes sense. Im waiting for it for ages and 15th is just next Monday ... yupi
I promise to give a nice review after Ill get it : ) |
