that is the question. been having problems with my browser for some time now. even as i type this i cant see the lettrs on the page for about a minute or 2. thinking that an update from windows along with a new internet explorer might end this annoying glitch but ive heard bad stories from people who have tried to update their windows and failed.anybody ever have any problems from tryting to update their windows?

you mean your keyboard is lagging behind? might be a hardware issue. i find that when i'm replying all the moving smilies make my computer go slow, so the solution to that is to press stop in IE
but updates are always good, IE hasn't crashed on me since like a year ago which is really unnatural |

I used windows update last week for SP4 (im running W2K) and after the download and install and reboot, my network card would not work.
i tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no luck, so i hadta go out and buy a replacement card (only 7bux, but its the principle yaknow). i still dont know why, but i got internet again so im happy |

You mean the idiots who try to install Service Pack 1 on pirate copies of Windows XP and realize later on that the activation has been re-enabled?
Unless your system is already FUBAR, there's no excuse not to update. You are likely helping to spread worms, viruses, and other crap by delaying this. So hurry up and do it! |

the keyspace for WXP was cracked simultaneously with the release of the isos god knows how long ago... yes, thats right folks YOU TOO can have your valid WXP cd-key. It almost seems as if microsoft made it easy to crack on purpose. Usually if somebody wants to make their product uncrackable using a key (as in the key is authenticated when a external service is used) they are fairly succesful.. i.e. blizzard has never had their keyspace cracked for any of their games (at least not to play on battle.net) from my understanding its chump work to make the algorithms used to generate truely valid cd keys impossible to crack (although it's easy work figuring out the pattern for a cd-key that will be *accepted* by the program).. i think microsoft was rather pragmatic on their part =) |

I had the lagging of letters problem on my browser. The only thing I did was formatting...and it worked. Remember to back up though. |
