Hi,
I gotta do this small paper for my first day in college and i was just wondering what peoples view on the following things is:
*****MP3 piracy is killing the music industry*****
Tech Phobic- The guilty claim that industry can afford it but it is the lowly record store till operator who loses a job.
Tech Geek- Music business suits need someone to blame for falling sales and PC owners are easy targets.
*****Interactivity is stifling activity*****
Tech Phobic- Can the flat click-clack of instant messaging and email compete with the joys of conversation? The kids today are too lazy by far.
Tech Geek- You can write to people, chat and use your PC as a videphone - what could be more sociable than that?
(Material 'robbed' from Computer Active magazine)

I personally find the second point interesting. Is communicating with many people, everyday over the internet an anti-social thing? That has always confused me... I'd like to think it isn't; but provided it is also complemented with face to face social interaction at times, also. |
