How to make the Cheesy UK house Bass?

Go to http://www.3beatrecords.co.uk/index2.htm

Then E-Store on the left, then click on Scouse house, then search for Fatman in the search thingy. Then click on Fatman scouse.

Right........:D (horrible isnt it)

Does anyone know how to make this bass, its used in the here in the uk so much an I swear if I could only figure out how to make it I could have a hit over here.

So does anyone know how to get this bass? I have a wav of a similar one but Id rather be able to create the e

lol, Klubbheads style bassline. You can do this sort of thing with a Square 303.

yeah, thats the first thing I tried, a Square on the ABL.

You should be shot for asking people to listen to that crap. Its not a 303, I can tell you that much. The way heaps of songs tend to all have the exact same bassline, I would have to say that everyone is sampling it. Don't know how to make it, sorry.

Standard square wave with low cutoff and a tweaked adsr- few other things done to it- but it can be made on an akai sampler with the standard square wave pretty easily.

you can make it easy enough on a yamaha GM/XG module using careful editing

most ppl dont make em...they just sample them or may already have it as a sample

If not a 303 Square then definitely some type of square. That's really about all of the thought I'm willing to put into it :whip:

Yes, I know it's a "donk" sound, and "donk" is a sound that can be made with a square. If it wasn't such a vile putrid sound I'd spend an hour making one =P
