Need Nero help

I'm trying to burn some files as data disc to a DVD-R. I create the ISO, then burn that to the DVD-R. While it is being burned onto the DVD-R, I get a message that says the DVD burner reset or something, and then it just results in an error. Anyone know what to do?

C'mon, I know someone can help me.

First of all, Nero is notoriously unstable when it comes to DVD-R. I recommend using RecordNowMax.

Secondly, if you're burning individual files (rather than copying a whole disc) why do you make an ISO?

I haven't found a use for DVD-R yet when it comes to MP3 since CD-Rs are basically free. Check the version of Nero you have and make sure it will support the DVD writer you have installed. Nero is notorious for listing only the writers it will support. I would suggest e-mailing them with your problem for a solution. DVD writers should be able to write CD-R as well, so give that a try first. I mean, I can burn an hour or more of MP3 at 192bps on a CD-R in about a minute flat - and you can't beat that for convenience.

I'm not trying to burn as audio. I want to burn the files as data (to fill up 4.7 GB)

Haven't tried formatting a DVD-RW in UDF, but know you can format CD-RW in a UDF format all day long. Are you familiar with this? DVD-R is one time use/mistake. UDF formatting makes essentially a 750mb or more size floppy disc using a CD-RW. WTF are you trying to fit on a floppy with 4gb?

First off, it's actually a DVD-RW I have, so I can rewrite.

Second, it's a bunch of live sets I'm trying to burn as data files, not audio.

I think I know what it is...

I want to at least try and help anyway considering the fact that when it comes to things like this, people normally just reply with smart-ass messages.

====================================================================

If you feel like wasting a blank DVD, try burning up to 4.3 gigs worth of sets. Make sure you dont go over 4.3

then let me know what happens

if this doesnt help simply go into nero's help file and go to search (NOT index, it has to actually be the proper search)

then type in reset in the search field check every single field that it found the word reset in and your likely to find the type of error

works 4 me :)

P.S

dont use DVD-RWs. Regular DVDs are unstable enough as it is ;)
