Hi all
I am about to try an experiment.
I will try to loose 4 kilos in 6 days.
I'll come back the 23rd and say how I did. |

This is very achieveable. I've done this. The secret is high intensity cardio on an empty stomach immediately upon waking up in the morning for at least 30 minutes. I know that sounds harsh and only crazy people like myself and other such crazy people will go to such extremes but if you want it bad enough, you will do whatever it takes. Good luck! |

But I'm of the opinion that it is easier to lose weight in decent amounts. I lost a pound a week for almost a year and I've kept it off, see I'm more concerned about you keeping the weight off. Yes excessive exercise does it but if you do it right, you can keep it off. I mean lots of people want to lose weight but I'm more of the opinion that changing your diet with exercise can help you lose it. Yes you are trying an experiment, I view it as lame because I know people who have done the same thing, but never kept the weight off. I just think that dropping 8-10 pounds in a week (if you are not sick) is unreasonable. |

Gonna agree with toronto on this one... losing 9 lbs in < 1 wk is in general unhealthy. Impossible? Certainly not. Special forces troops in training, who are already at near-ideal weight at the start, do this frequently. Unless you're willing to take that kind of a burden, I recommend not doing this... |

I dunno, my dad has lost 30 pounds in 6 months on his diet. He eats a bowl of cereal for 2 of his meals and usually for dinner he eats anything and as much of it that he wants.
He lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks when he begin. I'd say that's close to a "quick weight" diet. |
