uhm...anything. google it there are so many and they all do the same thing its pointless to have favorites.

Hey man, use Exact Audio Copy to extract them to wav. Then use either Nero Burning Rom for coversion to mp3 or Easy CD-DA Extractor [has a 30 day trial]. And finally, if you like having the ID3 tags, you can check out TagRename [also 30 day trial]. |

actually i just found audiograbber
went to download.com, searched for freeware cd rippers, this had the best user rating (87% or something)
works great, and has the freedb thingy so i don't even have to name crap, does it for me
i'd definately recommend it |

It's alright.. EAC has the freedb as well. In fact, I believe most do now. The problem is that Audiograbber looses some of the quality while you're extracting the music.
Just a random tip for people new to ripping cds, always rip wav to hd first then convert. On-the-fly ripping to mp3 will cause you to loose quality! |

Also make sure it uses the LAME codec. |

Any suggestions for those of us who want to rip a mix CD to one big file, rather than eight or ten individual tracks? |
