Two great white sharks attacked and killed a surfer while his friends watched in horror Thursday off a popular beach in the southern Australian city of Adelaide, authorities said.
One shark tore the victim in half and the second shark took the remains, witnesses said. |

| what i find strange is that these two sharks were hunting together. are great whites not known as lone predators? |

shark attacks happen down here in Australia all the time. Adelaide has had some massive news about shark attacks in the past.

depends on the age I think
whenever they do filming of them, there's usually two or three about at any one time |

reports this morning suggested it may have been a single shark large enough that it could be mistaken for two. you're still more likley to die from a bee sting, or lightning strike than a shark attack.
the idiot who got taken off queensland last week was spear fishing on a reef that is closed to fishing during the spawning season, both to allow the fish stocks to grow and as the fish attract sharks. |

| craziest thing I ever saw (shark related) was a great white orgy. It was on discovery. They went to seal island, and the chilean coast gaurd dragged a whale carcass out there. there were like 15 great whites eating the same whale at the same time..then they got all horny. IT WAS CRAZY! |
