Alright i want some cool strobe lights or something that can connect to my machine that have beat detection and the like. Not internal but external hardware. I know this hardware exists i just don't know anything about it, what it's called or where to find it. Any ideas?
My trance experience needs a little amplification. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Anything by Martin Lighting should serve the purpose.
I suggest you get the combo of the T-rex and Raptor. Very good beat detection and kickass psychadelic beam burts.
But these are professional lighting products and may not fit your budget.
Check them out anyways.
T-Rex URL
Raptor URL
In case you want a short description of what the different kinds of lighting effects are and what they are capable of, let me know. |

If you just want to see some funny colors, I'd suggest PMing some people who might live in your area, or visit www.erowid.com. :wtf:
And that user-name is class as well. ;)
Reminds me of

Thanks for the kickstart. The truth is i don't know what i want. This is something i'll be using in my home and i've never been to a concert or a rave so i've never even seen any of this stuff beyond a few trance videos i've watched. What i want is to kill the lights and fill my livingroom with visual XXXXX. Fill in the blanks. Something that can ad to the audio experience of my 5.1 setup. Probably won't spend beyond $600 at the moment. Off to a good start already with martin. This way i can start doing ebay searches and the like for similear hardware.
By the way, no on in my neck of the woods carries anything like this stuff. I live on a small island and NO ONE here listens to trance. |

My lighting setup consists of 1 American DJ Electra, 1 American DJ Y2k Millenium, 2 American DJ Sparkles, a 100 watt DMX controlled American DJ strobe light (I can make the strobe light flash with the beat, or control the speed of the strobe), 2 18 inch blacklights, a cheap fog machine, and a Limate laser pattern projector. Total cost was about $600.
American DJ offers more affordable club lighting than Martin and the quality is almost as good. |

Thanks DragonsEmerald. American DJ is exactly what i was looking for. All kinds of good stuff at a decent price. I started off by ordering an American DJ Vertigo Club Light just to see how i like it.
Thanks again. |
