Every once in a while when I least expect it I get re-introduced to an old song I've over looked. At NYE party the Rolling Stones - Waiting on a Friend popped up on random rotation and we all started singing it. I was never a big Stones fan but I just love that song now. It's cool how the right moment and with the right friends can open your eyes.

I know exactly what you're talking about!

The tape player in my car is sorta on the fritz right now, so I was forced to listen to radio today. Thankfully, they played just the right song at just the right moment: Foo Fighters - Everlong. :eyes:

I remember listening to that song over and over when I took a trip to Italy. It is permanently associated with rolling, Italian hills and the cliffs on the Mediterranean along winding roads. Now that I can relate to the lyrics in the song though, it not only elicits old memories, but creates a brand new meaning to me.

It's amazing how we can so easily forget things like this. It makes you wonder - just where do these memories go? Such beauty seems so important at the moment, and it seems as though you could never lose it, like it could last forever...but then you catch yourself one day...you've somehow forgotten who you are and what made you see.
