folks, if your local town has a website, can you please post the link here..
i'm re-developing mine but everytime i show what i've come up with to people on my messageboard they dont like it :(
so i've decided i wanna have a look at some other towns webpages and try come up with a few new ideas.

Here's ours...it probably won't help you :)
Besides, it's run/operated by the US Gov't...so they can spend Billions on it and make it look as crappy as they want :)

personally, i like the first one (R3), but i doubt it would be the most popular
its simplistic, which i love, but it could probably use more exciting things
idk though |

I like 3, its the more traditional type of City site, although 1 is pretty nice, but it dosnt contain alot of images that relate to the city which is something you really need to do with a website that represents a city. |
lol! That's the first time i've ever heard of Buncrana get refered to as a City :) population: 5000 :)
that tacome site is ok except for the menu.
it just looks like a huge mound of text..
back to the drawing board i guess :)

ok this is a bit whore-ish, but seriously, just do a blue blended banner and a silver nav bar, its a city site no ones gonna care that it looks like everything else on the internet :P
then just use some random header pics above the important parts, shouldnt take very long |

http://www.zoetermeer.nl <- my town. It's in Dutch, but its still worth a look I'd say.
I like the first one best as well, but I would put up some more imagery of the actual city, right now its just too much text. Best thing is to just keep it simple though. |
