Why are not given the right to use things like DAP and GetRight and Download Accelerator???
If the sole reason why they were created was to manage downloads easier, and for sumone to ban the use of them would be absurd, not only because downloading extremely large... and i mean extremely large files is really not what people want... 192kbps...
come on 160 is enuff... maybe if the files were not so big people would be able to download the files easier...
Until then we will be forced to use them... |

Eeeh the traxx/sets normally get released @ 192kbps these are the standards.. you do hear the difference between 160 an 192.. its your pitty that you dont wanna/can dl bigger files..

and using gozilla or smthng might result in getting banned from dling.. (but ask swamp 4 that :) |

| The quality depends on the source. For vinyl rips, 192 is standard, but for CD rips even 128 might be enough. |

using programs like DAP just hogs up way too much bandwith. You'll be opening up like 4 simutaneous connections which means others are gonna be having a hard time downloading and when swamp sees that he'll be one unhappy mofo.
So just respect his rules it's there for a reason. He's making the downloads available for you and not asking for anything in return. |

| You must distinguish between download managers (e.g. GetRight) and download accelerators (e.g. FlashGet). The latter steals bandwidth from everybody else and thus are not allowed by Swamper. Download managers on the other hand are OK with him - actually he recommends that you use one. |

| yeah as above, download managers are ok, but only Go!zilla will work, GetRight isnt compatably with the way TA is programmed, but the way download acell's (such as DAP) work is they split the file into 4 parts and re-joins in, this means that the server is sending 4 times as much as it ususally would, therefore if everyone did it it shags it all up, download managers are ok as they download normally, but also offer resume, i personally use GetRight but as im on cable i dont need it for TA, just if i want to que downloads :) |

Yeah, I don't use download accelerator programs for the reason that it would screw other people over.
I would use gozilla, but I heard it installs a bunch of adware and crap on your machine, and I don't need that.
so, I just right click, save as, and I'm done..
half the time it doesn't work, but hey.. s'all good :) |
