Will it be a hit?
And what's with guys having success after leaving the Daily Show? First, you had a super movie of a 40 year old virgin. That made money! I had a laugh when Steve Carell returned to the Daily Show to be interviewed. (Freakin' edit: And now you have Stephen Colbert with a show which might be just as popular as the Daily Show). |

| Carell didn't leave on like his own free will just to leave the show, he left because his movie career was taking of and he had a chance to do the 40 year old virgin. Colbert report was ALWAYS extremely popular. Ed Helms is also funny as hell but Colbert people look forward to almost as much as the show itself altogether. He has a knack for coming up with quirky and funny lines for whatever he says. Especially on the election night when he said "and so what if our country is divided, in NYC we call that a duplex :makes a finger money gesture: " classic. |
