9/11 – what it means to me…
Five years ago to this day
Many Heroes unexpectedly parted their ways.
Through the rumble, terror and destruction
Where there were once twin towers
Now we will forever lay flowers.
We were all witnesses to the terror in the air that day.
This is written in remembrance for all those we lost,
It’s now a place where some still hold their fingers crossed.
Wishing they could have found there loved ones,
Around the world today we will hear the silence of guns.
We shall all hold our head down in peace,
There was stillness in those moments that will last forever.
Today, all day, everyday we will remember the thousands that were lost,
Here, there and over seas still fighting for freedom
Is continuing world peace just some thing just for imagination?
Keep your fingers crossed that the moment isn’t lost.

I was at home sleeping, woke up to the alarm and radio and i thought it voiced "Bush has been bombed!" wishful thinking ;) and yeah I woke up watched the news, Fuk that was terrible - chills I was getting! tragedy after tragedy! it was terrible. I knew that this moment would change how north america (canada included) would work. I worked at a hotel at the time, lost my job about a month later. Was unemployed for about 8 months and then decided to move to Korea (like it was any better there!!!) but I taught English to little Korean kids fro about 2 years! My life changed - how about yours? |
