newbie... Bad quality CD burning

Hi, all!
New to Tanceaddict forums.
I've been downloading the "live set" portions. When I listen to them with Windows Media Player, it sounds fine. But when I burn them on a CD with the media player, after about 25 minutes in, the sounds gets really bad.
Any of you know why? Is ther a remedy? |

Dude:
either your CD burner sucks or it's dirty -clean the lens
Use different types of CD's
Your machine is too slow to burn efficiently - upgrade that 286 for goodness sake.
Otherwise, plain and simple - you outta gas |

| It gets all scratchy for may be 5 minutes, gradually getting worse, then no sound... |

what's your cd burner model and the blanks you're using ( get cdspeed from http://www.cdspeed2000.com/ to identify the model of the blank cds ) |
